Jindal urges GOP to stand up to Obama
WASHINGTON – Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal again found himself carrying the Republican mantle opposite a primetime appearance from President Barack Obama on Tuesday, saying Republicans must be ready to defy the president when they disagree with his policies. He also joked about his widely panned response to Obama's address to Congress last month.

"We are now in the position of being the loyal opposition," Jindal said at a Republican congressional fundraising dinner that only by coincidence fell on the same night as Obama's news conference. "The right question to ask is not if we want the president to fail or succeed, but whether we want America to succeed."

Saying "the time for talking about the past is over," Jindal said Republicans have begun to find their voice after back-to-back elections losses — motivated by what he called historic Democratic spending excess.

Jindal is widely considered a potential 2012 GOP presidential candidate, but his televised response to Obama's speech at the Capitol last month was widely panned. Some compared his delivery to the late children's television host Mister Rogers and said the address could hurt Jindal's national potential.

Make like a celibate's pants and zip it (and keep it zipped). Thank you. You might now have a chance at the election because nothing hideous, repetitive, and empty is coming out of that hole.

4. So at a $2000+ per plate dinner, Republicans complain Obama is spending too much for Americans
Then goes on to offer no alternative other than "Let's just be the opposition".

"Jindal said Republicans have begun to find their voice after back-to-back elections losses — motivated by what he called historic Democratic spending excess."

Sounds like some delusional right-wing talk show host I heard today claiming that the GOP is set for major pickups in 2010 because Obama doesn't know what he is doing and that they're ready to "lead"? Their "leadership" has no agenda other than opposing Obama and the Democrats on just about anything and everything and they have actually admitted this- and the fact that that they think that they should be "insurgents" like the Taliban. Well, we all know what we do to insurgents. It should be off to the military brig and/or Gitmo (while it's still open. Otherwise, the brig will do just fine) with them!!! And WHAT exactly do they have to offer the country that we're supposed to care about? Cutting taxes on the wealthy? More "trickle-down" or "voodoo" economics? Puh-leeze!!!! That is soooooooooooooooo "1980". Also, stopping universal healthcare ain't going to win the GOP many friends this time around. The only people who can easily afford good health insurance coverage right now are the rich. It's not going to be your "tidal wave" to victory that it seemed to be last decade. What year do they think this is? 1993-1994? Oh, and their outrage over the AIG bonuses is nothing but a hideously disingenuous front because none of them AFAIK want to do anything about even though Democrats have made some proposals to address the matter. They pretty much exist to stir the s**t and not much else.
Also LOL about his statement about "historic Democratic spending excess." WTF has HE been during the past 8 years? The Democrats have been (fully) in charge of the Presidency and Congress for literally 2 months they are already responsible for historic excessive spending?
:wtf: I mean, really, :wtf:

Unlike Obama, most Repukes (and that awful reporter-Ed Henry) would rather talk out of their a** rather than trying to think before speaking all of the time.

Buy a clue, Bobby!
:eyes:

Their new motto should be "No answers, no solutions, no ideas."
