1. nothing any politician says
before or after being elected can be construed as a binding agreement.

It would mean that those who were holding their breath on what he didn't say,
can now exhale!

4. I highly recommend breathing
instead of holding your breath.

Even if you're 5 years old and the toy you want is on the shelf right in front of you

3. especially then
even if we think we heard them say it
Its our failure to understand.
They are careful to make certain that they've used sufficient qualifiers and waffle language to prevent them from actually being committed to any single course of action.

5. He just never said it. We are the ones being careful to make certain
that we imply what we want, no matter that it was not promised.

He was asked before, and he never said he would.

8. I want it legalized but never ever thought he even talked about it.
Holder wants to stop going after people for medical marijuana, stop the raids. Its going to go into a look the other way situation eventually. Decriminalize it in small steps. I am starting to see a pattern here with Obama. He is a pragmatist and takes any issue and then lays out steps towards an eventual goal rather then just going at it full blast. We shall see.

9. I wish Obama made this promise. Locking people up for smoking a plant is the opposite of smart.
I wish he supported gay civil rights and single payer health care as well.

10. Aye.....
and I'm sure that some wish Dennis Kucinich would have won the primary and had gone on to beat John McCain.

I'm just glad to have a level headed person in the office who cares more about us in a long run than anyone in that office has in eons! :)
