The idea that the GOP could win back the house in 2010 is "lunacy."
Cheerleading has its place, including on a high school or college basketball court. But not when it comes to political analysis.

Over the past couple of weeks, at least three Republicans - House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (Va.), former Speaker Newt Gingrich (Ga.) and campaign consultant Tony Marsh - have raised the possibility of the GOP winning back the House of Representatives next year.

That idea is lunacy and ought to be put to rest immediately... there are no signs of a dramatic rebound for the party, and the chance of Republicans winning control of either chamber in the 2010 midterm elections is zero. Not "close to zero." Not "slight" or "small." Zero.

Just in case you were wondering.

2. If We Have A New Team Of Fresh-Faced Hitler Youth
and the economy continues to worsen despite the Paulson/Summers/Geithner Banker Bailout, then there's certainly a chance, at least of gaining seats.

3. i don't think it is lunacy. all it will take is for things to get worse instead of better
or at least not appear to get better and for the republicans to be able to get their message out and for americans to lose faith in obama. alot of obama's numbers appear to be because people trust him and the job he is doing. if the republicans and media could somehow get people to lose faith in obama, then it is possible. and i see the MSM and republicans working on that every day. it may not be working right now, but i see a possibility of it working depending on what happens with the economy and if the republicans ever quit fighting amongst themselves and figure out what direction they are going. i hope it doesn't happen, but i never underestimate the smarmy republicans.

4. They won't take the House
but they'll gain seats. And they might have a net gain in the Senate, too, if we're not careful.
