So, is Tweety pro or con when it comes to Torture...
I hate to say this, but tweety seems tortured over the idea of torture. He is making all sorts of rhetorical faints toward both sides and I can't tell whether he is pro or con. And he is back to interrupting and making himself more important than the issue. Perhaps that is why his ratings are so weak...

2. If he can't make up his mind...
How will his followers know what to think?

And you KNOW he sees himself as more important than the issues of the day...:eyes:

3. who knows
As everyone knows, sometimes he goes where the wind blows. I got the impression he was against it the other day but trying to see both sides, but I haven't watched today and know it's hard to tell with him sometimes.

4. He's against it, I'm pretty sure. Torture is one topic that is difficult
not to have an opinion on, though he's trying.

6. Just a few days ago he was fantastic on the issue of torture when he was grilling John Ensign.
Now that he realizes there is a clear-cut case that can be made that Bush administration officials committed war crimes, he seems wary.

Get a backbone, Tweety!!!!

8. I don't think he knows enough about the history of
torture prosecutions by the US. This is out of his comfy realm of slap happy beltway story telling. He needs to get up to speed.

10. It's good if people can't tell his stance. That way, he gets a more varied guest
lineup and more interesting opinions from the guests. If he becomes decidedly pro or con, fewer guests of the opposite persuasion may go on his show, thinking they REALLY won't get a chance to voice their opinion, esp. with Tweety. He barely lets guests he agrees with finish their answers.

13. Since it's claimed he didn't want
to bomb Iraq in the first place..it wouldn't be logical for him to support torture.

14. Tweety is pro-look-the-other-way when it comes to high ranking officials
Tweety doesn't want to believe America elecgted war criminals to the highest two offices in the land.
