VP Biden met with a VIP today in DC ---->

http://www.politico.com/politico44/perm/0509/bidens_busy_schedule_141a5477-4d15-4011-8569-e354296ecd00.html

Biden added a special meeting to his schedule today: VPOTUS will huddle up with "Mr. Al Franken" before his ...

... dinner with Karzai and Zardari, his office announced. Biden is meeting with Al Franken to show the Obama administration is behind him, a senior White House official said.

"We want to show our support for Franken," the official wrote in an e-mail to POLITICO. "The process in Minnesota has been characteristically bipartisan, transparent and meticulous. Every ruling has been unanimous. We look forward to the state Supreme Court issuing its final ruling, after which we’ll be able to work with Franken in the Senate on the pressing issues facing Minnesota and the country.

Oh to have been a fly on the wall in that meeting....

2. Thank you, VP Biden for the support!
Poor Al..he looks like he could use a day at the Spa.

Specter needs to make a one on one apology to Al Franken soon to be Senator Al Franken.

And, I'd like to have been a spidey on that wall:)

4. Good. It's nice to see someone high up in the administration speaking publicly about this
enough is enough, already! It's time to seat Franken. He did win the election after all...

And one has to wonder if this meeting was planned before Arlen's f-up in that Times interview. Maybe his ridiculous statement had a silver lining and was a catalyst for the White House to finally get actively involved in ending Coleman's BS and hopeless stonewalling.

7. This is really good news!
From a distance, it has seemed that Al has been kind of on his own. I am really glad that Joe has taken him under his wing, so to speak.

Thanks for the heads-up! :hi:

He's standing with the people of MN who have spoken. They want their second Senator to be seated.
