Not that I expect any rational thinking and courtesy from the Republicans
but Justice Souter has been a liberal voice in the court so, of course, Obama should fill his seat with a like minded candidate.

For them to start complaining about "a liberal candidate" is disingenuous.

1. 9/10ths of everything they say
is disingenuous, and i think using the term disingenous is probably being polite about it.

4. 9/10ths ??
You give them entirely too much credit!

I keep waiting for just one of them to say just one thing that doesn't come out like projection.

3. The way I see this is the same way I saw us when Bush got to choose
We hated it and tried really hard to keep him from it but in the end his choices (Alito and Roberts) passed. The same will happen to them and all I can think is payback is a ^&*^&%##@*)

5. One difference was that he replaced O'Connor
who often was a swing vote, with a solid conservative.

And it will happen again. "Our" side is the older justices - all over 70, Kennedy is close to 90 - while theirs, except for Scalia, are all young.

6. I can only hope that they retire during a democratic term
I would hate to be dragged by the hair backward into freeper-cave land.

I am getting a kick out of the daily fit throwing from the party of no though.
