I'm not a fan of our Senate. I like our Congressmen/women better. The Senate should be tried for "crimes against humanity," especially when the cap on credit cards was denied.

Now we have the Gitmo situation...I'm worried that when the DADT repealing ( I hope sooner rather than later) goes under way---fools in the Senate will screw over our President. In particular his Dems. I'm not sure if it's anything to worry about now. But I'm so upset over the gitmo and the credit card thing that the Senate may not give a flying f about providing civil rights they have no right to even bloody limit or deny.

Obviously with the Gitmo plan and the credit card thing the Senate can shut down the President, other Dems quick.

1. I agree with the Senate on Gitmo, no money without a plan
its a rare occasion that they got it right over the President.

If only they exhibited such sense during the Bush admin; we would be in a much better place now.

4. As if Obama isn't ever going to come up with a plan
:eyes:
This isn't * we're talking about here. No, they're just having a fit because the Republicans have now constructed a "frame" with which to attack Democrats with if they start talking about closing Gitmo and moving the detainees to the mainland to a regular prison. I don't hear them talking about their ideas or "plans" to close Gitmo. Hell, the Republicans think that Gitmo is a.o.k. now that there's no more "abuse" going on (largely because Bushco isn't running it anymore, of course) and I have a bad feeling that Dems in the Senate are going to cave and fight Obama's decision to close Gitmo even if he DOES come up with a reasonable plan because they are too afraid of being labeled "soft on terrorism" and accused of "endangering" their communities if the detainees enter the normal prison system somewhere in the US. *ugh* I hate some of the Senate Dems, especially Indiana's own "Blue Dog" extraordinaire (Evan Bayh). :puke:
