Because they just ran a story about a group of young schoolchidren being turned away from a White House tour today for being ten minutes late. I mean, they went full throttle with the sad visuals. A little boy with a frown on his face saying "they turned us away". And then this whiny woman saying "Obama turned us away to hang out with rich millionares."(Pittsburgh Steelers) It was such bullshit. Yes, lady. Obama purposefully turned you and the children away for the specific purpose of being with the Steelers. Give me a fucking break. :eyes: I tried to find the link to the story, but couldn't. It's just as well, it's bullshit anyway.

2. Yeah, most of the media it seems
doesn't bother to check facts..they just run with shit. Manufacture and Manipulation is what they're on about.

3. Are you talking about NBC 4 ?
I enjoy tuning into their station at 6 AM because the local news is usually cool.

I'll listen tomorrow morning and see if they're tacky enough to run it again.

In the mornings it's mostly POSITIVE SPIN.

The only BUMMER is when they have Mayor Fenty on. I don't care much for him and his recent hording of National's tickets.

Will let ya know. :-)

10. Yeah, those "Meet the Mayor" or whatever they call it segments are excrutiatingly dull.
And have you ever seen anything as petty as keeping the Nats tickes away from the City Council?

5. Their bus got stuck in traffic which made them late
and when they got there they were turned away. So it's Obama's fault that they got stuck in traffic?

6. Too Bad
The White House is a Museum and I used to work in a large museum. Tours are tightly scheduled and if you are 10 minutes late you will, out of necessity be turned away, particularly children because often they are also scheduled with needing to be back to school if for no other reason than to be dismissed from school, because their buses run on a schedule. The WH will re-schedule them as soon as possible. It was not Obama that turned them away, doubtful until he was show his schedule that he knew they were coming or knew they couldn't get in, and when the President is in the WH his schedule is tightly packed, they could not possibly afford to be ten minutes behind.

So that DC station can whine all they want but they know the facts of this as well as anyone who has ever had to schedule tours.

8. President
Son of a bitch, I'm pissed too. I called and they wouldn't put him on. The nerve of them not taking the time to talk to me, blah blah blah. What do they think, he sits around waiting for people to show up? The real mystery is how the media grouses about losing watchers and they can't figure out why. If the MSM would actually report honestly once in a while, maybe the readership and watching public would tune in again. NBC is only slightly better then the rest, and then only for a few hours on MSNBC, and then only after Scaborough is off the air.

9. I found the link to the "story"
Posted in late breaking news: (watch the video, you'll see all the "drama")

Believe you me, the media, both local and national, is going to take this and RUN WITH IT.
