Charlie Rose: Obama and Iran to start, with lots of talking heads,

like David Brooks, Robert Kagan, David Ignatius, and David Sanger. They are all supportive of what our prez is doing. Should the situation get worse, respond appropriately. Sounds good to me.

Obama said, "The world is watching."

FYI. :)

1. He is approaching this with such maturity and insight, it is reassuring.
And I must admit that, even though this is about Iran and its people, and not the US, there is something fundamentally satisfying about having a Democratic president show such intelligence and insight compared to the whole setup that was done to Carter by the Republicans regarding the release of the hostages under Reagan.

I will admit that I have some mixed feelings on what our president has done in the domestic realm, but this, plus his stance towards Korea and Israel, gives me a very good feeling about his foreign policy decisions.

2. Adsos!
 You are always so worth reading! As for the domestic, so much stuff, and we don't know how right or wrong this admin will be yet. I'm waiting and seeing.

I hope you are well, and are catching a break.

3. That is high praise, indeed, from you babylonsister.
 My mother-in-law is fighting a blood infection following her chemo treatments, but her prognosis is cautiously optimistic.

Other than that: I just returned from a week in Spokane, I will be taking a roadtrip from Philadelphia through the South to San Diego in September, and will be going to Switzerland for 12 days at the beginning of October.

And I pick my eldest daughter up at Oakland airport at 1am (she just completed her 3rd year Med School)...so we are doing pretty well.

I hope you, too, are well; and your writing TRULY is always a good read.

 :hi:

4. Make no mistake, my friend.

What I post is not my writing, just about never.

I love having plans, and you sure do! I'm heading for NY in July, but beyond that, no clues yet.

PA to CA? That might be fun. Switzerland sounds better. :D

And you must be so proud of your daughter! No, make that children!

Are you out of school?

Edit to add: are you close to your m-i-l? I hope she recovers from this, and she will! I had chemo years ago, but never heard about any blood infections associated with it. Is this a new thing, or was I just lucky?
