Obama strokes Michael Bay's ego, so the director puts the prez in Transformers 2
Would you believe President Obama called Michael Bay, director of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, "a big-ass director"?

Neither would we, but the director insists it happened. And to return the favor, Bay put the new prez in his upcoming giant-robot movie.

OK, not exactly: He put references to the real-life president into the story, including images on a few background TV monitors. But the message is clear: If giant robots fight on Earth, Bay wants Obama in the Oval Office.

In a press conference Friday in Beverly Hills, Calif., Bay explained that he was inspired to put Obama in the movie instead of some fictional president because the two have met in passing. During an airport layover in Las Vegas, Bay ended up walking side by side with Obama, who was without bodyguards, let alone Secret Service protection, carrying his own bags. (This was before Obama won election last November.)

Bay introduced himself to Obama and complimented a recent speech. When Obama asked him what Bay has directed, the president-to-be recognized names such as The Rock, Armageddon and Transformers. "Oh, you're a big-ass director," Obama said, according to Bay.

3. Good! Fantastic! I remember movies
during the bush years that had bush as president and other movies in the past with the current Prez.

I'll be looking forward to it..I really liked Transformers I.. Josh Duhammel is in it, too, who's married to Fergie and you know the rest(Will.i.am., etc etc).

7. I haven't even seen the first one yet.
I think Bay's movie are crap, but a lot of people said Transformers was way cool anyways, so I'll have to watch the first one before 2 hits the DVD shelves. :)

13. If you ignore the plot and such, the robots are way cool and they even make the sound.

Also it was cool seeing a movie presented by Hasbro.

15. Yeah, I really liked it..
It might be more for the younger generation but I think it had enough good writing and lines to keep me interested..and, I'm kinda picky.

Come to think of it..I didn't like previous Michael Bay movies, either, but I think he actually started making better movies with Transformers.

16. Well when you see a movie about giant alien robots that turn into cars and trucks
and expect Citizen Cane you get screwed. However if you remove your brain at the door and go in to watch giant robots beat the crap out of each other you will have a great time. I agree Bay's movies are pretty much crap but sometimes it's fun to remove the brain for a few hours and just be entertained. It's like a Roland Emmerich flick, you go to see the end of the world not Brando yelling for Stella.

4. Because if the Transformers had attacked Earth under Bush
He would have declared war on Krypton instead of Cybertron.

5. I can't imagine Obama using those exact words, but OK.
And it'll be cool to see a movie where Obama's the Prez and not Junior.

10. Didn't they use an Expy of Chimpy in the first one?
So basically, Bay is using an Expy of Obama in the sequel.

And the problem is...?
