"transparency & accountability. . .?"

Did anyone else catch this absolute hypocrisy. . .

At the UN, our fearless leaderr was quoting that Burmese (?) lady activist who has been under house arrest there for a very long time (Soo Chi (sp?)) saying something like "democracy is predicated by both transparency and accountability. . ."

He also said there should always be serious consequences for mistakes.

How can he even say this stuff with a straight face.

His administration has been more secretive than even Nixon's.
There's been no accountability for any of the innumerable disasters that have transpired under his watch. He's never suffered a single consequence for any of his collosal blunders.

Sorry. . .just had to rant about the blatantly obvious.

3. Where's the accountability of the missing billions from the DOD or

the accountability for * friend Ken Lay?

Where's the transparency when your records as governor, your father's, and your WH papers are all classified?

Where's the transparency when you provide over 20 reasons for going into Iraq to kill?

Where's your transparency when legislators will not allow due process in the Senate and House of Representatives.

4. I know by now it shouldn't but

the brazen blatancy of the misrepresentations and the utter complience of the media never ceases to amaze me. It seems to be getting more intense.

It's so mind boggling how mind nubbing our culture has become.

Thank god for the bloggers, AAR, the Daily Show, occasionally NPR (I know but there are still some decent regional shows) and the BBC. They're the only sources of sanity these days.
