2. Too close to comfort. Thune is setting himself to run for the GOP Presidential
nomination. If he does well in his Senatorial re-election in 2010, remember that you read it here first: He will be the GOP Presidential nominee.

3. I'm surprised that two Republicans voted Nay...
They, in effect, prevented its passage.
It only failed by two votes, it looks like.

8. So by voting down this amendment...
A number of Democrats (and 2 Republicans) are saying that it is valid for one State to refuse to recognize a legally-granted license of another state.

Great...a "win" for the anti-gay marriage people.
