Gather round
Gather around for a story to tell, about a man from America,
and the wishing well,
It is about a president who wanted healthcare for all,
who saw, heard and stated, that the nation was in crisis,
people were dying, losing their homes,
because of high cost of health care,
and an insurance industry that cared more for their profits,
than the health and well being of the people.

This president wished, and knew many others felt the same way,
that Health care reform would bring a better day.
The profit seekers condemned what they percieved as an attack,
on their golden goose, that layed a multi-trillion dollar egg.
And so the money fight is on,
at the wishing well,
and now as a surprise attack,
we are reminded that the president is black.
A professor from Harvard was racially profiled,
arrested on his porch,
and in a media circus of health care discussion,
Did they ask about how to save more lives?
Did they ask why American healthcare costs double what other nations pay?
Did they ask why Free Market competition has failed to lower costs?
Nope....they wanted the president to weigh in,
on the story of the professor,
and the police chagrin.
The golden goose has been saved for another day,
and the president is painted as an angry black man.

People are still dying without healthcare,
people are still losing their homes,
to pay for medical bills.
The Senators and Congressmen will soon be going home,
for their summer vacation break.
And you, all you Americans should be aware,
of exactly what is at stake.
Camp out at their homes, protest, demand, make calls
Single payer Healthcare for all,
Ramp it up.....speak loudly and clear,
listen to US..... or else you are OUT ON YOUR EAR!
remind them - they are the people representatives,
and they work FOR YOU,
your votes gave them these jobs.
You deserve to be heard too.

2. Obama wants health insurance for all not health care.
Big difference and insurance does not necessarily translate into access to care especially when you're talking about large out of pocket expenses like the House bill does.

In his press conference the other night even the president called it "health insurance reform" (the reform being that he now supports most of us being required to by into a policy from a for profit insurance company.)
