Bill Clinton Speaks of Vast, Right-Wing Conspiracy
There's definately a right wing echo chamber, call it what you will. They will always see democrats in general and Barack Obama specifically as minions of satan.

More Politics NewsWASHINGTON (AP) -- Bill Clinton says a vast, right-wing conspiracy that once targeted him is now focusing on President Barack Obama.

The ex-president made the comment in a television interview when he was asked about one of the signature moments of the Monica Lewinsky affair over a decade ago. Back then, first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton used the term ''vast, right-wing conspiracy'' to describe how her husband's political enemies were out to destroy his presidency.

Bill Clinton was asked on NBC's ''Meet the Press'' whether the conspiracy is still there. He replied: ''You bet. Sure it is. It's not as strong as it was because America has changed demographically. But it's as virulent as it was.''

Clinton said that this time around, the focus is on Obama and ''their agenda seems to be wanting him to fail.''

1. It should read..
Obama and many Dems find it difficult and sometimes
impossible to stand up to rightwing attacks.

Why that is is something of a dilemma to those
liberals and progressives who have been historically
Democrats... due to the fact that Obama and the Dems
were elected to make a real change from corporate
and rightwing policies.

2. According to Taylor Branch's New Book - The Clinton Tapes
Bill Clinton supposedly once asked former Senator Alan Simpson if he really thought that Clinton had done anything wrong on Whitewater and Simpson replied that the Republican's didn't think so at all but were using these investigations to pay the Democrats back for Iran-Contra.

Now I agree with former President Clinton that times have changed but the right-wingers in this country haven't and that's what we have to keep in mind...
