Local media report on the anti Obama billboard in KC

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. -- Drivers on Interstate 70 can barely see the billboard but once they do the message has been gaining attention.

The billboard is located along I-70 between the Adams Dairy Parkway and the Grain Valley exits. The billboard reads, "How do you like your change now? Obama Nation. They are coming for you! The Taxpayer. First and Second Amendments are in jeopardy. Live free or Die." There is also a hammer and sickle on the sign.

People said they might not agree with the sentiment of the sign, but they felt it was a matter of free speech. Others that KCTV5 talked to said it is offensive and should come down.

A pastor who drives by the sign during his daily commute to his church said he lived in England for years and he agreed with the message.

Remember back when reporters actually reported news? Notice the key information missing from this story is WHO PAID FOR THIS BILLBOARD???

1. There are a couple (that I've seen) of billboards with similar themes here in Georgia,
They always have way too many words to make it even close to read on the highway and they are both poorly planned billboard locations that are hard to even read to begin with.

Who pays for these thing? Local nutjobs who can't afford decent billboards or even decent locations.

My question is why this station is even talking about them?

5. Ah. I read 'barely see the billboard' and assumed that it was hard to see.
Can't someone just call the billboard company?

8. It's on an interstate and not that hard to see
I drove by it yesterday.

There is no billboard company listed on the sign. I have no idea who owns the sign. If I did I would be calling and complaining.

12. But who could read it?
I mean, unless you slam on your brakes and that'll cause a mess.

4. Well duh and I suppose you aren't even a reporter
From this sentence in the report I am guessing they know who it is:
"KCTV5 could not reach the owner of the billboard."

Cracker jack journalism.

10. My first question was "doesn't someone there own a paintball gun?"
But I would go with yours as a close second.

Because as far as I can tell nobody is touching their 1st or 2nd. I'm willing to bet them money on it.

Actually I have...they never take the bet. Pathetic bastards.

7. While not the most intelligent message, it is their right to say it.
I can see that sign creating as many foes and friends to their cause.
I say get out of the way and them run off the cliff themselves.
