Horn to announce bid for Hodes's seat
Jennifer Horn is expected to announce her candidacy for Congress today.

Horn's campaign issued a press release yesterday announcing a "major campaign announcement" to take place this morning at the Legislative Office Building. Political observers say the Nashua Republican is likely to announce an official run for the 2nd District seat.

Horn, 45, was the Republican nominee for the seat in 2008 but lost the election to Paul Hodes. With Hodes vacating the seat to run for Senate, Horn will be one of several vying for the job. Last week, former U.S. representative Charlie Bass filed as a Republican candidate and Republican State Rep. Bob Giuda has also been mentioned as possibly running. On the Democratic side, Ann McLane Kuster, Katrina Swett and John DeJoie are all possible candidates.
