Teabaggers Out Of Touch, New Study Finds
Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg and strategist James Carville have set their sights on the Republican base, exploring the conspiracy theories fueling conservatives. Their public opinion firm Democracy Corps will release a report Friday concluding that these voters are "not just critical of President Obama, but worried he is deliberately trying to deceive the American public in order to advance a secret socialist agenda." The report also found that these constituents share few views with swing voters.

1. Know what would be awesome? If they were right,
and Obama secretly was plotting to turn the United States into a socialist utopia.

2. I've yet to get a teabagging conservative to tell me they
were forcibly prevented from voting in the 2008 election. Then they can't understand why I tell them they don't know a fuck about American History.

Out of Touch, incredible understatement. But they are very obedient. They'll do whatever someone on right wing radio tells them to do.

5. Another study - the sea is salty
I could have done this study for nothing. Hope they didn't pay too much for learning what they already knew.

7. The headline is not quite accurate - it should read:
Teabaggers out of minds, study says.

9. even within their own twisted "logic" they make no sense!
Ok, the basic premise behind their fear of the government is that the government is inherently incompetent, whether due to corruption, inefficiency, or some other reason which they somehow think does not exist in private industry.

They've also spent years telling me how awesome America is - even though I agree, because they think I hate America because I want to change things for the better, and despite them now wanting to change things (for the worse). But because America is so awesome, our system is nigh-perfect or something.

So, this completely incompetent body is somehow going to be able to sneakily Subvert the Greatest Nation ever!®™ without anyone noticing, anyone but a few vigilant people who somehow manage to get every fact they cray about wrong.

I... I just don't know how to understand them. They ignored Bush expanding government and spending money like a drunken college student with 5 credit cards, and not only ignored it, but cheered it on and attacked those of us trying to point out the problems, yet now they... ugh.

Furthermore, I've heard many conservatives complain about pork and about lobbyists corrupting the government, so they decide to ...uh... trust those corporations funding the lobbyists and get rid of the government. WTF? So the private companies cannot be trusted to write our laws, but if we didn't have those laws we'd be...um... <head against desk>

I was watching hardball last night and saw that interview.

I was drinking orange soda at the time, and when the bald headed guy said he thought Sarah Palin would be a great congressman/President, I literally did burst out laughing and choked up a bit of my soda out my nose. Man that burned!!

My eyes started watering a bit, but still I was laughing my ass off because that idiot was actually serious.

All I could think was "Go Sarah Go!!"

14. I don't need a study to know these people are loco
A tea-bagging family member told me President Obama stole the election because people were intimidated by armed black panthers! They are totally crazy and bitter they lost the election and don't get the fact the reason they lost because Bush was a horrible president.

16. Whenever you do good work, you are rewarded with more work.
Keep up the good work.

If that's a tall order, take it as a compliment.
