When is the trial for Saddam Hussein ?

How big a story would that be if they decide tohave his trial two weeks before the election? Would it be as big as the capture of Osama bin Laden? No doubt, it would be an effective diversion, but to what degree? Anybody heard any news?

I had read somewhere that his lawyer wantd to bring up the fact that he was armed by the Reagan/Bush administrations in the 1980s. He would sing and that's one song Bush and his cronies don't want to hear.
