Fair Warning: ABC/WashPost poll out tonight
I have absolutely *no feel* for this poll. I don't know what to expect and none of my usual sources have any scuttlebutt as to what the poll shows. But I do know it's coming out tonight and, in the past, ABC/WashPost has suffered some of the same problems as Gallup. So be warned.

8. It's not a matter of worrying.
It's information. It may be corrupted information, it may be biased information, but it is information and is useful for assessing the state of the race.

It helps me decide where, as a campaign volunteer, or efforts need to be focused.

Worried, though? I ain't worried.

10. CNN keeps saying...
New polls showing Kerry in "good position". They haven't said which polls (as far as I know), but they are already trying to put the spin on these things, now admitting that the polls "may not be reliable", citing the polling process lacking the use of cell phone contacts, etc. (things we already knew), ...AND citing the higher voter registration numbers by Dems.

It actually sounds like they are the ones who are afraid because Kerry is pulling ahead. Just watch, I'll bet that's what these polls will show. Otherwise, the news outlets wouldn't be trying to discount the polls before they are actually revealed to the public.

14. If the poll shows Nader with more than 2% it is a sham. That is for
openers. If it doesn't show marked improvment for Kerry it is also a sham. So this poll will tell us very little about this election, but it will speak volumes about ABC /WP.

Note: ABCs Peter Jennings has been pretty fair on the election overall, but their chief political operative, Marky Halperin, over at "The Note" has his nose so far up Shrub's ass Mark can't see daylight. So I don't trust anything that comes from that front.

As to the Washington Post, they have been the most prowar of any major media outlet this cycle. They still are prowar, largely because they see the war in Iraq as the war to make the middle east safe for Israel. They haven't specifically endorsed Bush yet, but they undercut Kerry so many times, I've lost count.

Overall, I wouldn't trust this poll as far as I could throw it.
