GREAT debate question for Kerry to "ask" Bush

Would Americans safer with Saddam Hussein in jail or with Osama bin Laden?

Chris Matthews asked this question to the Repub CO. governor tonight.
The Repub blathered the party line but I was BLOWN AWAY by the question.

Kerry answering a question about Iraq...
"The question that Americans must answer is this: would we be safer today if Osama bin Laden was in jail rather than Saddam Hussein? Should we have pursued the murderer of 3,000 Americans into every cave in Tora Bora and brought him to justice? Or, should we have sent our Arabic speaking special forces after a dictaor who threatened only his brutalized people?"

"I think that the answer is obvious. I take the oath of office to protect and defend America seriously. You can TRUST that I would REALLY have made hunting down and eliminating the mastermind of 9-11 my top priority. Putting a third world dictator in jail under a series of mistaken pretexts is a poor substitute. In these dangerous times we simply can't have a leader who makes such immense errors in judgement--- especially when he can't recognize his own mistakes."

"The evil man responsible for thousands of Americans dying on 9-11 still roams free to threaten us. Saddam awaits trial while American soldiers die daily fighting an escalating insurgency."
