Bush debate masterminds out-smarting themselves
Because Kerry is long-winded they insisted on visible time-warning lights to show him up when he runs over time.

As a Kerry supporter all I can say is I wish WE had thought of that! Anything that makes Kerry say his answer and shut up (rather than repeating it three times phrased slightly differently) is a blessing.

If Kerry keeps his answers short he'll win this thing.

1. They should have an total allotted time clock like in chess
so you can use more time for some answers and less for others.

5. Great Idea!
Candidates feel an obligation to use all of the time allocated to a specific answer even if a simple yes or no would do.

And I'd love to see them punching those little clocks, too.

2. And if Bush rambles on...
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 09:57 AM by skypilot
...with his usual doubletalk and empty platitudes with his trademark uhhh's and ahhh's he will lose--or should lose. The Kerry team has got to come up with incisive questions that will stump Bush and cause him to run out of time without having said anything. We've been listening to him do that for almost four years now.

3. I was just noticing
That the entire media is stating that Kerry must win to stay alive and the ball is totally in his court. What happened to the fact that W has screwed up this country, gotten us mired in debt and started a war without end The ecconomy sucks and Kenny Boy and his other cronies skirt their problems while martha Stewart is paraded as the perp in the war on corporate thievery.
I think Bush is the one on the hot seat. He has some big explaining to do.
I sure hope Kerry trashes him as all intelligent people know he should. Time to take off the gloves.

4. Kerry needs good short answers plus humiliate daFoker...
bush hates jokes about him. Kerry needs to make him angry. Angry bush's mouth trips...more stupid things come out of his mouth.

7. This might work in our favor.
All the world will see what jibberish Bush has to come up with to fill the time.

10. Geez, how much time does it take Bush to spit out the following:
"9/11 changed everything."

"We must give the money back to the people in the form of tax cuts."

"The economy was going down during the last few months of the previous administration, and we were recovering from that just when 9/11 hit." (a.k.a. the "Dead Parrot" defense - "He was just waking up when you bopped him on the head!")
