John Kerry . . . TALK TO ME!!!!
Everyone is chiming in as to how Sen. Kerry should 'handle himself' at the debate. I've gotten to thinkin' that I hope he talks to me. And you. Address his base. The more he tries to coddle the 'NASCAR dads', the fundy faithful and other demographics that probably aren't considering him anyhow, the phonier he may sound. I'd like to think that 50.1% of the population is still a thinking people. Sen. Kerry doesn't need to dumb himself down or try to be folksy, at least to my beautiful mind. Thoughts?

2. Amen. Kerry doesn't need to dumb it down

He needs to be himself, and address the American people as intelligent adults. The idiots have already made up their minds to vote for the boy king, so Kerry shouldn't worry about them. The undecideds will pick up on who the better man is tonight.

On edit - I'm getting way ahead of myself. The debate IS TOMORROW.

3. Kerry cannot do NASCAR
He should leave it alone. The more he tries to show he can hang with the red-necks, the worse he looks to the rest. Kerry just be Kerry. Let Jr. be Jr.

4. A woman said to Adlai Stevenson
when he was running for President,
"Oh, Mr. Stevenson, you have the vote of every intelligent person in this country."
He replied, "Yes, madam, but I need a majority."

Also, from Bertrand Russell:
"The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt."
