Locals Say Kerry Held his Own (Wincheter Star.. conserv. VA, folks.)

Flo Jenkins definitely leaned left before Thursday night. But she needed a final assurance.

So watching the presidential debate, Jenkins hoped for a confident John Kerry to stand unwaveringly and outline a position on the war on terrorism.

Then, the 47-year-old mother of four could feel safe in her choice. Jenkins went to bed Thursday night at ease.

Kerry will have her vote.

“I think Mr. Kerry pulled himself up,” Jenkins said. “If there were people out there who had not made up their mind, I think they have now.

1. Better than having someone hold it for him!
Some people have their brains on infinite hold.

“I think (Kerry) did not get buried,” said Sue Fleming
- I think Bush DID, said I...

"'This is my position,’ and then he (Kerry) ended it with, ‘and that’s my position,’ I don’t think I heard a position anywhere in between."
- Then you weren't f*$ing listening...

“What I liked about it was President Bush had answers just like that,” Yaider, 35, said. “He’s on the ball.”
- Yeah, a WRECKING ball and the United States is the target...
