Fairhope Looks At Ban On Sex Offenders

I am not "for" sex offenders but this does not seem constitutional. Just recently Mayor Kant wanted to ban the hiring of anyone who smoked. Got no support from the City Council. What if an incorporated area could ban certain types of people from living in that area? Why not convicted prostitutes? Drunk drivers? Registered Democrats? Childless couples? Families with more than three children? Except for race and sex, which seem to be currently protected categories, what couldn't be banned if sex offenders could be?
