Just voted in Tuscaloosa
I have no illusions about us winning Alabama, but here's my experience this morning:

I was there about 30 minutes after the polls opened. It was raining, but there was already a crowd and there was soon a long line behind me.

There was a Kerry sign near the polling place but no Bush sign. I saw several cars with Kerry bumper stickers but none with Bush bumper stickers.

There were a lot of African Americans voting.

2. I think you can take that to the bank.
Unfortunately, I think there will be good and bad surprises this year. The good is that our GOTV efforts are really paying off huge. The bad is: I feel the Pukes will get away with at least some cheating and fraud. I doubt they will get away with enough to stem the tide. Their ass is grass and John Kerry is the lawnmower!!!

3. At least 100 people in line at Auburn poll by 7:30 am
when I arrived; within 20 minutes, there were at least 300 waiting in line and more cars pouring in than the hotel parking lot could handle. Bush and Kerry buttons and bumper stickers were pretty evenly numbered, but that's not bad, as this polling station covers many of the wealthier and generally Republican areas of town.

5. another tuscaloosa voter
it took me an hour and yes there seemed to be more Kerry signs and stickers than bush. and a very large African American turnout, lets hope this bodes well for us.
