Anchorage, Alaska - Alaska congressman Don Young is caught up in another sleazy deal.

This time he took over $20,000 in campaign contributions from indicted Wisconsin executive Dennis Troha, his family members, and company executives just after Young inserted an item in the 2005 federal highways bill that helped JHT holdings owned by Troha.

1. Why doesn't the FBI go after GOP Congressmen who have done worse?

Start with Duncan Hunter, the presidential candidate who took money from the same guys who bribed Duke Cunningham. Remember the Boeing airbus scandal - after Hunter pocketed contributions from Boeing and put earmarks into a bill to give them just what they wanted from Congress? Not to mention all the money he's taken from Titan, Blackwater and other defense and military contractors, who all seem to have received juicy government contracts.

...but Don Young is OUR corrupt congressman -- our ONLY congressman -- and we want him gone.

3. Three words that changed politics > "Bridge to Nowhere"

Hopefully Young and/or Stevens will see this article from today's St. Petersburg (FL) Times..

"Bridge to nowhere!"

Four years later, the phrase has done what few political slogans can do. It shaped public opinion, influenced an election and pressured Congress to change its rules.

Mentioned hundreds of times in newspapers, on TV and at countless dinner tables, it became shorthand for political pork and a Congress that was out of touch.

Stevens, in an emotional, fist-pounding speech, said Coburn was attacking not the bridges, but Alaska itself. He thundered that it was wrong for a senator to steal another senator's pork.

"I will put the Senate on notice - and I don't kid people - if the Senate decides to discriminate against our state and take money only from our state, I will resign from this body."

Did he mean resign from his own body?
