Jake Metcalfe's Comments on the 9/11 Anniversary

"As we mourn the senseless loss of so many lives to terrorism, let us also mourn the loss of so many of our basic American Rights and Freedoms over the past six years, the very Rights and Freedoms that make our nation a country worth living in and fighting for. The suspension of Habeas Corpus, the ‘Patriot’ Act, warrant-less wiretapping, warrant-less searches, watch Lists, national ID cards, national security ‘gag’ letters, and restrictions on our Right to Travel are all fruits from a Tree of Liberty poisoned by fear and exploited by cynical politicians.” http://www.jake2008.com/2007/09/10/mourning-what-we-lost-on-and-after-september-11th-2001/">More...

1. Nice, but...

..I wonder why Jake has the comment function turned off on his blog?

For example, Alan Tesche and Andrew Halcro also have blogs.. and they seem to like the input they receive from locals.

Tesche > http://teschereport.blogspot.com/
Halcro > http://www.andrewhalcro.com/blog/admin

I don't know if Halcro is running for anything, but I heard on Aaron Selbig's show that Alan Tesche is more than likely running for mayor.

Anyhoo. I think Metcalfe should unlock the comment function.. Looks bad to see "Comment function turned off".

Nice comments about September 11th though!

...he'd do that, too. Then again, Diane's site doesn't allow for any comments, either. maybe it' a running for Congress thing...

2. Too bad
Jake didn't show this kind of moxy when he was the head of the D-Party. A bit late to the game.

7. Aren't the
the Gov, the Speaker and the Senate President all Republicans?

I support Kay Brown as the new Alaska party leader. Her efforts with the Clean Elections Initiative are impressive.
