I got an email announcing a Veterans for Peace donation
drive happening this Friday at 6:00 PM in Studio City
at the corner of Laurel Canyon and Ventura Blvd.
They are accepting cash and check contributions
to be sent on to Camp Katrina.

FUNDRAISER CONCERT
On the Vigil Corner

(Vigil starts at 6PM / Concert starts at 6:30PM)
Ventura and Laurel Canyon Blvds
(Parking available after 6PM in the lot behind Washington Mutual, NE
corner.)

Join us tonight for a special Vigil and Fundraiser Concert for the
victims of Hurricane Katrina and Administration Bush.

Please spread the word. Help Veterans For Peace, an organization that
stood with Cindy Sheehan in Crawford and is standing now at ground zero
in Louisiana, collect cash and check donations urgently needed by the
Veterans for Peace Soup Kitchen & Medical Tent serving incoming
evacuees in Covington, Louisiana (26 miles outside of New Orleans).
Veterans For Peace will provide receipts with Tax ID number.

You may also make check donations to Operation USA. Their main focus
is on recovery, getting materials to community non-profit clinics so
they can rebuild.

Speakers: Ed Ellis, coordinator for the LA Veterans for Peace and
co-director of Arlington West; Anitra Wetzel, Students and Educators
Against the War.

Bring your signs, your candles, friends, family and whatever you can
afford to donate. If it's just $5, then that will help, too. All
proceeds go to disaster relief.

California for MoveOn’s Support Cindy Sheehan Vigil. 500 – 600 people
