An important event to attend Tues, Nov 22
The next meeting of the Patrick Henry Democratic Club should be one of the most exciting yet. This is the club that is changing the face of politics and moving the Democratic Party back to the left where it belongs. among its other activities at the upcoming meeting, the club will be showing "Loose Change," the movie the Bush Administration doesn't want you to see.

There is a good chance that the Democrats (Steve Young) will pick up a new seat in Congress this year and the members of the club are working to make sure that happens. The members are also working to stop execution of Stan "Tookie" Williams (scheduled for Dec 13) and believe that the execution can be stopped.

For information about the most activist club in Southern California, check out patrickhenrythinktank.org

The meeting starts at 7:30 but the people generally arrive at 7 P.M. for food and socializing.

From the announcement:
Guest Speaker: Henry Weil
VISTA trained community organizer who has done organizing work for Tom
Hayden, Jerry Brown and the Orange County Board of Supervisors

Special Feature (Movie): "Loose Change" - a hard hitting documentary!

1. Thanks for the heads up... the date November 22nd is a sad one

I think of one thing, and one thing only, when I hear that date:

The murder of JFK by forces within the US gov't. JFK had announced
plans to start withdrawing troops from Vietnam beginning in Dec. of
1963. Couldn't have that!! Once he was taken out, the plan was
quietly dropped. Nuclear disarmament?? God forbid!!

Those who don't toe the line pay dearly.

2. The PHDC gets the best results within the party and legislature
They pushed a resolution that helped inspire AB1121. They are putting on effective rallies and demonstrations. JFK can be proud that his legacy inspired others to take action rather than sitting at home.
