Teachers are ANGRY at Arnold about plans to suspend Prop. 98

All of a sudden there are all of these anti-Arnold ads. I never saw any anti-Arnold ads before.

the teachers said, "Vote No on the Recall, and Vote Yes for Bustamante."

The teachers, while they supported Schwarzenegger's after-school program initiative, felt they would rather deal with a known entity in the Governor's office, a person who traditionally has been a supporter of public education.

The education coalition only went along with the Governor last year on the premise that he would not underfund prop 98 or teachers' retirement in the future. He not only agreed with a hand shake and in writing, but it was written into law. Now he proposes backing out of that.

I know Arnold did not get into office without the support of some dems, but I was not one of them. I've been leary about his big business background all along...

1) He's raising money faster than Grey Davis every hoped to do.

2) People see his image, not his evil

3) The media are completely licking his ass

Those of U w/ on-screen guides, take a look on any weekend and U will find one if not 2 or 3 steroid boy flicks running. I have been keeping an eye on this and I cannot recall one weekend there were none showing.

7. the teachers union in my district was all for kerry,

and anti- Arnie. they are even more so now; the last bulletin encourages members to send emails.

our local mayor, now, recently the subject of a recall attempt, shamelessly attaches an image of himself w/ arnie every time he sends out a self-congratulatory email. ( another source of contention since many of us don't how how he got our email addresses to use for his own purposes )

it seems like the tv stations love running arnie movies. who knows ... someone may be exerting some muscle power behind the scenes so as to keep that 'image' before the voters--all with 2006 and beyond in mind.
