Priest Accused of Jogging Nude Now on Leave
Source: The Denver Channel

FREDERICK, Colo. -- A Catholic priest facing an indecent exposure charge after police said he went jogging in the nude about an hour before sunrise was placed on administrative leave Thursday.

The Rev. Robert Whipkey told officers he had been running naked at the Frederick High School track and didn't think anyone would be around at that time of day, a police report said.

My bet is that this naked-jogging priest gets moved to a
new school where he will reside as head track coach.

7. I don't think it is a deal either
I wouldn't expect anyone to be around that time of day. This country's obsession with nakedness being sexual always amazes me.

Priest killed secret son to save career
August 10, 2007 - Posted at 12:00 a.m.

MEXICO CITY (AP) - A Mexican priest has been sentenced to 55 years in prison for killing a son he did not want his superiors to discover, prosecutors said Thursday.

The Rev. Dagoberto Valle Arriaga confessed to killing his son, Oscar Emmanuel Valle Hernandez, two years ago, said the attorney general's office for the central state of Mexico.

Valle, who fathered the child with a woman identified as Maria Felix Hernandez Espinoza, was afraid church officials would uncover the child's existence and remove him from the priesthood, authorities said in a statement.

Valle was a Roman Catholic priest in the city of Texcoco, just east of Mexico City. A telephone call to the diocese in Texcoco was not returned Thursday.

The was eight years old when his priest/father killed him. The proest also has a $10,000 fine to pay.

10. The jogging alone honestly wouldn't bother me, but ...
The whole "nude sex talks" thing in the other half of the article does raise some doubts about his motives.

14. It's one thing to be born...
....in a delivery room without Levis and a polo shirt.

It's another to be jogging outside on a school track--with your Johnson flapping in the wind.

15. Nudity
I apologize to those who are offended by nudity or my defense of it.

I don't go walking around naked in my manhattan neighborhood, but
I don't think that nudity should be thought of as a sex crime. Under
current laws, at least in the area where this incident happened,
if he is convicted for indecent exposure, he will have to register
as a sex offender.

I do think that we as a society are uptight and neurotic about
the body, but we shouldn't punish too severely those who want
to go for a nude jog in the dark, as odd as that activity may
seem.

Remember, we are dealing with this incident, not the alleged
incident that was mentioned in the article.

As a society, we should begin to scale back prosecution in
respect to victim-less crimes that are more a matter of taste, good judgment, or tradition.

16. i agree, lighter on victimless crimes and harder on ones that do have victims
every now and then you hear about a sentence of 3 years for rape of a child or something like that. In europe they have nude beaches and many beaches when I was a child the kids could go to a beach only wearing bottoms and were perfectly safe. Today it would be child abuse by the parents
