Not sure where she lives now. Do you really think she'd run against Joementum? She'd be a very good Senator. She is and excellent activist and campaigner, as well.

I don't know how we'd go about finding out her primary residence. Anyone?

Like so many New Yorkers who come to Litchfield County Connecticut to hide (there are little towns in Litchfield County where they don't have home delivery of mail. Residents have P.O. Boxes which they prefer because it doesn't identify where they live. Go figure...)But I don't know for certain. At any rate, why would she be so interested in running for the Senate? I don't think it's a bad idea, I just don't know why this would interest her.

5. In the 90s, she did a fundraiser

in Litchfield County, I think. It was with Sam Waterston, which is why I know about it. Interesting that you say the New Yorkers go there to hide. I think that some go there because they aren't mobbed as 'celebrities' and they can act like regular folks. Sam is always doing some sort of charity work locally, always for free. Friends of mine who live there tell of him manning a booth during a local fair, just like anhy other citizen of the county. And Sam's house, at least, is fairly well known, as it used to belong to James Thurber, and its location has been published, most recently in the NY Times.

6. not just hide

our taxes are a little lower here than in NYC, too... while I appreciate all the charity work they do, the other reason so many celebs live in Connecticut & commute into NYC is because our state income tax is lower. It's not just to get away from it all.

7. Litchfield area seems so remote

That and the PO Box thing makes me think New Yorkers (not just celebs) like the tucked away feel you get when you go there. I traveled to towns like Washington Depot and New Preston for several years to talk with donors and I was always amazed at how long it took me to get there from New Haven. It's a real "you can't get there from here" kind of thing and I can't help thinking the folks there like it just that way!

My dad saw in at a package store in Newtown. He said she bought several bottles of very expensive wine. He also said she wsa very nice based on their short conversation and he also said she's much prettier in person.
