Please help defeat Ralph Reed
http://www.greghecht.com/gh_volunteer.html

This link will take you to a volunteer registration page for Greg Hecht. I don't know Greg very well, only met him once at a local fundraiser, but working against the corrupt corporate cristo-fascist is a top priority of mine for 2006. Please volunteer.

1. I like what Hecht stands for
especially his emphasis on helping the elderly. I believe the only other Dem in the race at this time is Jim Martin, another former member of the General Assembly. I will vote for either of them next November.

I was hoping Dubose Porter (the House minority leader) or Thurbert Baker (Attorney General) would enter the race, as they have more name recognition than most Georgia Democrats and are undoubtedly experienced enough to take on Reed. I still think Porter may enter the race.

I'm seriously considering voting in the Republican Primary this July, so I can vote on Reed's opponent, Casey Cagle. I can't stand Cagle, but I'd rather have almost anyone in the position than Reed.

2. I think it would be better to have Reed as the candidate
With every scandal dragging him down that much further in the mud, we wouldn't have to do that much op research. The shine is off him now and people are starting to see him for what he is. He's an easier candidate to beat.
