Poll: Incumbent Case leads GOP challenger
By Associated Press

HONOLULU (AP) _ A new poll out today shows incumbent Democrat Ed Case with a sizable lead over Republican challenger Mike Gabbard in the race for Hawaii's Second Congressional District.

Poll numbers show Case with 67 percent of support from likely voters, compared to just 18 percent for Gabbard and 15 percent undecided.

Although the two men are considered their parties' leading candidates for the general election, both face opposition in the September 18th primary.

Case faces Hilo businessman John Gentile while Gabbard goes up against three challengers: Oahu physician and radio talk show host Inam Rahman, Maui chiropractor Jonathan Treat and Honolulu city lifeguard Miles Shiratori.

3. Awesome
I disslike Gabbard with a passion. There are a lot of signs for him on Maui. I am assuming that these are the same people who helped him run the gay hate campaign in 1998. His organization seems to still be in place.
