The following is from a press release I'm sending out today to media here in Hawaii:

The purpose of the "Hawaii Happenings" page is to provide a place where progressives living in Hawaii can list, and find out about, local events, organizations, etc. Special announcements can be found here, such as the Hawaii Democratic Party Get-out-the-vote phone banks for Hawaii - and to call into swing states on the mainland. There is a calendar of events - listing progressive documentaries, etc. In addition, there are 19 progressive Hawaii organizations listed here:
