Think bribe-taking officials are current news? Well, they've always been with us, but in 19th century Russia, crooked bureaucrats worried about getting caught -- and punished.

On Monday, December 12 at 8:00pm, The Actors' Center will present a staged reading of Nikolai Gogol's THE GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR at the the Round House Theatre's Silver Spring "Black Box."

The Shakespeare Theatre's Stephen Fried directs this classic -- and all too contemporary -- comedy about government corruption and accountability.

Admission is FREE!
