What are the fireworks laws in Illinois?
Some asshole down the street sets off fireworks every night at this time. It scares my cat shitless, and keeps my dog from wanting to go out before bed time.

And another neighbor says it's not legal, and complained that the cops aren't doing anything.

What are the laws about this in Illinois? Anyone know?

2. That explains why my next door neighbor is mad
and he's got a point....what's the point of a law that is so obviously not enforced?

3. Has anyone actually called the cops?
If they are set off at the same time every night it should be easy for the cops to identify them. Has anyone in the neighborhood tried to talk to whoever is doing it?

If the cops have been called with no results try the local gov't. Alderman's office if you're in the city or mayor's office elsewhere. Most villages are pretty good with neighborhood complaints.

5. All classes A-C
All classes of explosives A, B and C are illegal for an unlicensed person to have in Illinois. Class C being common consumer fireworks, since snakes and sparklers are not classified as explosives they are legal in IL. But anything sold commercially in WI, IN or MI with Class C stamped on them are illegal for anybody to have on them.

If caught transporting them you can have your vehicle confiscated by the State, and thats no fun.

Despite how I feel that this is a violation of my first amendment right to express my love for my country.
