anyone ever heard of the freeman institute?
the closet republican ugly ass challenger in the 49th ward here got help from something called the freeman institute. i saw they voter sheets, which they were using to challenge voters, and they all said freeman institute at the bottom. there is no phone listing for that in chicago. i googled, but there are a million freeman this and thats out there.
i don't think this guy had the ground troops to come up with all the challenges that they tried, although he did have a lot of support. i was told that the precinct that i judged had been written off, yet they had a long list of names.
anybody ever heard of them?

2. doesn't look like it.
they were apparently providing voter lists, handling campaign information, maybe training volunteers and poll watchers, and advising them on how to get voters stricken from the roles. i was googling combinations of freeman, election, don gordon, etc. lots of freemans out there.

3. Ask your election authority.
If they were there as poll watchers, they had to have training, and a permit from the election authority to be there. There should be some record. They had to have a credential that they surrendered to the judges when they arrived at the polls.

Did they do everything to comply with the law while they were there? Go to the Illinois State Board of Elections website to see what they say about how poll watchers need to behave.

If you can't find out who they were, call the Illinois State Board of Elections in Springfield and get some answers. Any time I have had to call them they have been very helpful.

Even if these people were doing everything right, you have a right to know who they are.

5. their credentials were from the campaign.
the ones in my polling place were from the neighborhood. but what i wonder is where the guy is getting his money, and why everything that these bloggers say sound so f'ing familiar.
i did screw up in my responsibility in not making them tell me why these people were being challenged. i assumed that their challenges came from canvassing. but at the end of the night the republican judge, who was a supporter of this clown, told me that the precinct had been 'written off'.
they did not give me a hard tome about letting people vote. we had 3 provisionals, i think only one due to their challenge. the other 2 were due to info in the application book, or lack there of. in other precincts, they pushed for provisional ballots. but most of their challenges, they showed a current drivers license, and i let them vote. now they are challenging my precinct.

4. Found this when I googled...
In the United States, CAUSA USA has worked on projects with the National Center for Constitutional Studies, Western Goals Foundation, Coalition for Religious Freedom, Freeman Institute, and the Conservative Alliance (CALL). (23) The Moon affiliate donated $500,000 to CALL's National Coalition for America's Survival project and its Human Rights and National Survival program. (23,47) CALL was headed by John T. (Terry) Dolan, then chair of the National Conservative Political Action Committee (NCPAC). (37) CALL's media and lobbying project aimed to push for economic sanctions against and the severing of all relationships with communist regimes. (23,47)

This Freeman Institute appears to be affiliated with the Moonies.
