1. I think it's a good thing.
He's a bit too conservative for my tastes. It seemed that he was voting more on the left side - once he was gearing up to run. I would like to see that trend continue.

I would consider courageous. Evan Bayh has been riding his father's coattails for a long time. He isn't qualified to be President. :(
