AAR in the Quad Cities
What is the story on how the Air America Radio Station got going in the Quad Cities? Some people from the Ames and Des Moines DFA groups and from the Polk County Democrats are trying to organize and get a station in central Iowa. Any information on how the station switched to AAR and how the station is doing would be appreciated.

Thanks.

1. Don't know but let me take a guess
WKBF is a clearchannel station. CC has been moving some of their dogs out of the RW column and into AAR. Purely a business move. It appears to be successful around the country. WKBF was, I believe, dead last in the QC. I know they start playing Christmas music on Nov. 1, not after Thanksgiving.
I got an email from an organization called 'democracyradio.org' that claims some credit. I have posted it in the Iowa forum. They claim to be the instigator in getting lefty radio across the country. For those in central and western Iowa, I'd suggest giving them a shout. Can't hurt.
