Long Time No Hear, Tom!
Edited on Wed Jul-30-08 08:56 PM by Hardrada
I'll never forget the way Iowans came together in their communities, at the grassroots level, to support me when I ran for governor in 1998. There hadn't been a Democratic Governor in Iowa in 30 years, and it was only by unifying that we were able to build a true statewide organization.

Now it's time to unite once again.

Now that our party has selected a nominee, it's crucial that we come together to support Barack Obama. He is the only candidate who can bring about the real change America needs.

Our state is going to be a major battleground in the general election -- but it will take all of our efforts to turn Iowa blue.

That's why we need to continue spreading Barack's message of change in our communities. Across Iowa, folks are coming together to join Obama Precinct Teams to build our grassroots movement one block at a time by reaching out to friends, family, and neighbors.

Learn more about Obama Precinct Teams and see what you can do to build this movement for change:

We simply can't afford four more years of failed Bush-McCain policies.

But with less than 100 days left until November 4th, it will take all of us working together to succeed.

If you are concerned with ending the war in Iraq, repairing the damage that this administration has done to America's reputation abroad, making sure that we address climate change in a meaningful way, building a better educational system, and ensuring healthcare for every single American, then there is only one candidate in this race -- and that is Barack Obama.

Any amount of time you're able to devote to the campaign, there's a way for you to get involved -- the Campaign for Change is looking for people to work as Team Leaders, Precinct Captains, and volunteers.

Your help will be crucial to our success in November.

Help unite the Iowa Campaign for Change by joining an Obama Precinct Team today:

Best,

Tom Vilsack

P.S. -- Our campaign is also looking for interns and community leaders willing to take their commitment to the next level. Let us know if you're interested in a Campaign for Change internship:

2. You could be an intern.
I'm too ancient and will be used only when the Republican Terrorist Army is at the city walls

5. Vilsack for Senate sounds better than Grassley clone
for Senate. Or worse yet, King for Senate. You see, Harkin isn't going anywhere unless he retires, and Grassley isn't either. But Grassley has hinted at retirement and Vilsack would be ok as his replacement. Harkin/Vilsack as Senators from Iowa. Why not?

7. Oh...all right.
It will not be discussed again until '10. Or maybe it will be, but not by me. We don't want your head flattened by beating it against the wall.

Just after January 2009 (b/c then he'll drop out some time in March ... right?)
