Kerry in Cedar Rapids!
Thursday, September 22, Senator John Kerry will be in Cedar Rapids at the U.S. Cellular Center, which us old folks still call "Five Seasons Center". It is in downtown C.R. and is easy to find. If I can find it, so can you. Tickets are available at www.johnkerry.com/cedarrapids. I am unsure who else is going to be there, maybe Franker and Vilsack, and almost certainly Harkin.

1. I'll be there. Hey, you're not a Flat Catter, are you?

2. You mean Flat Cat, the band?
No, I'm not. I don't even live in Cedar Rapids, although I have visited many times. Obviously I have heard the Flat Cat band. Not too bad. I like Craig Erickson from up that way. Oh I guess I didn't mention my residence. Davenporter here. Proud member of the Mississippi Valley Blues Society. And a lifelong Democrat. And a volunteer on the Kerry/Edwards campaign.

3. Ah, OK. Yeah, I was referring to the band >
Just a wild hunch -- thought you might be someone I knew, if so.

5. Yes I do
Sorry about not putting up that info. Doors open at 4 P.M. Now the last time I went to a Kerry rally, it started late, so who's to say that it may not happen again? My guess is that Senator Kerry will speak at about 8 or 8:30. I guess he's going to be in Florida earlier in the day so it is very inexact when he may speak, the above time is just an estimate. I do know that doors open at 4 though. Info Right off of the website.

6. They're saying EVERYONE is invited
Democrats, Independents and Republicans. They want everyone to hear what he has to say. This is in sharp contrast to the recent Bush visit, and this point was made very well on the local news. I love it!

7. Now it is edwards
Kerry is going to be nursing his voice for the upcoming debates, so Edwards is taking over in Iowa. I would love to hear him speak. He is such a great speaker and cute!
