Tea party will hold a presidential convention in Kansas City, Kansas
The Woodlands racetrack will host a tea party presidential convention in Kansas City, Kansas, at the end of September, KMBC's Micheal Mahoney reported. The official announcement is expected to come Tuesday during a press conference at the Woodlands.

The convention is slated for September 28 through October 2, according to Mahoney. The Rev. William Temple, leader of the Tea Party Founding Fathers, told Mahoney that they'll conduct a straw poll to determine their nominee.

Temple released a statement saying the convention, which he's calling a "Freedom Jamboree," will be held in a central location rather than different cities so they can nail down their positions for the 2012 election and, more specifically, for the Iowa caucuses. Mahoney's report says the tea party "will add national security and family issues to their economic platform for 2012."

2. Good let those idiots
nominate their own candidate and let the Tea Party ignoramuses fight it out with the "I don't care about anyone but me" mainstream Republicans fight it out. I just with Obama and the rest of the Democratic Party would get a real backbone and finally understand that they really do represent the mainstream of American thinking.
