Thank you so much for running for office. I have heard nothing of this race (although I live in New Orleans). Please fill me in on your opponents.

2. the election is over

My only opponant was John Lavarine III, a staunch Republican.

Turnout was just about 5% for the election, a HORRID turnout. I was banking on people being more upset with what happened last year and I guess they either didnt care as much as I did or they did care and didnt think their vote would make a difference.

If I can raise some funds, I will be running next year for the district 3 race. I cannot afford to bankroll another election.

But I have even had some other conservative republicans say that they voted for me because they are tired of Kenner politics. I just did not have enough of that kind of support to make a difference in this election.. even though I only bought business cards and car magnets I got 1/4 of the vote.
