Where'dja go to school?
Now we can tell the real locals from the visitors!

I had my daughter go around with her video camera on a party some friends back home had for me last month while I was there, and video tape people.

I told her to ask this question.

Typical answere for a born N'wawlins native: <name_of_high_school>. Spouses and other immigrants: college.

It was a fun experiment to conduct

1. De La Salle (75)

Yes, a "Sallie". Whoever thought a guy in tights and a tunic with a feather in his hat leaping through the air was a good mascot must have very poor memories of being a 14-year old male in the mid-to-late 20th century.

Spent at year at LSU in North Statium, looking out at the tiger cage. Took a year off then attended U.N.O. Funny, I had a hat for a while and everybody around here thought I went to the University of Omaha (a football opponent of the local state college).

4. Which means, you can tell people who are not from where you're from
based on their pronunciation of that large city halfway between Shreveport and Jackson, MS.

I new a fellow (who was Bennett Johnston's AA back in the late 1980s)) who's life ambition it was to be Athletic Director of La Tech someday.
