Sign in front of Methodist Church in Abbeville
Am so proud of my church, United Methodist Church, in Abbeville. The sign in front of the church reads, "God gave us commandments, not Amendments." Haven't attended church in so long, so I guess that the church is condemning the Gay-Marriage Ban amendment? Anyway, that's the way I took it.

1. Actually...
That sounds like more of a "God's law is the only one that matters kind of thing"...

May not be a good sign...

2. Maybe an expression of

"Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's"

3. United Methodist Church signs
I've been quite intrigued by the signage of the UMC here in New Orleans on the corner of Jeff Davis and Canal.

I'll have to locate pictures I've taken. At one time the sign said, "What if the hokey-pokey really is what it's all about?" LOL

Now it says "Hope is on the way"

I'm agnostic but i wouldnt mind hearing what that pastor has to say! Good signs :)

4. HAHAHAHAHA! "What if the hokey-pokey really is what it's all about?"
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! You got a pic of that? Sounds like a cool church. By the way, they let me (a true heathen and hedonist) play "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" on the organs in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit on Broadway, St. Andrews Episcopal on S. Carrollton, and Trinity on Jackson Ave. Episcopalians are the coolest! They used to have crawfish boils back in the 70s too. I wonder if they still do...

7. I went to St. Andrews too. Did you know the infamous Dr. Rosenberg?
But I went to Country Day for middle school.

8. Dunno
The name sounds familiar. Was that the science teacher or librarian? Both died while I was there.
