Kerry-Edwards Hdqtrs. open in New Iberia, Abbeville, Morgan City and Houma
Just got back from the opening of the Kerry-Edwards Headquarters in New Iberia. They opened the Abbeville site yesterday, Morgan City will be open tomorrow, and Houma opens Sunday. Signs, buttons, bumper stickers and an assortment of other stuff is/will be available at all the offices - FREE! Stop in and pick up some yard signs! One of the local businesses here in New Iberia will be showing F911 on the next two Friday nights...Y'all come on over! Lots of free food! If you are interested, message me and I'll send more specific information.

2. I think the Louisiana Democratic Party finally woke up
I have been screaming and beating my head against the wall for many months trying to get the state party to get their act together. This is how screwed up they are: I have contributed many hundreds of dollars this year to the local Democratic party, the state party, the Kerry campaign, and the DNC. I had to hear about the local office opening on the radio.....no letter, call or email from any of the above organizations....I had to hear about it on the freakin' radio!!
Communication and organization is zero...zip...nada. I am very glad though that they finally got their sh&* together and are at least making an attempt.....however lame and late in the game.

5. don't kid yourself
they don't have their shit together

I've experienced the same level of frustration with this campaign and the party. We need to take over b/c the people in charge here DON'T DO ANYTHING!

3. I visited Abbeville on Sunday
I drove in from the west part of town, from Kaplan, and was pleasantly greeted by K/E signs lining highway 14 into Abbeville. I didn't go far into town but I only saw 4-5 boosh/halliburton signs compared to 30 or so K/E signs.

I visited the Lafayette HQ on Saturday and got some signs, stickers and booklets. The lady at the Lafayette HQ said that on Thursday the 21st, they want to get a group together and stand at an intersection in Lafayette somewhere. When I get an exact time, I will post it here.

I really do not know if Louisiana is in play, but I would love to turn it blue!

4. That's GREAT NEWS!
Our New Iberia group will be out tomorrow morning and evening at major intersections waving our K/E signs. Main street here is just plastered with boosh/halliburton signs, so we've got some work to do! Thanks for the good news down the road from us!

6. If y'all need any help, I live in Youngsville
I all up for volunteering, seeing as I can't actually vote (being just a measly permanent resident, 3 weeks shy of elligible to naturalize), but I can do my part.
Let me know - email or DUmail me

7. Shreveport open too
On Greenwood Road. And we opened up really late in the game as well, but I think we've managed to mobilize a lot of Shreveport voters. I've been volunteering for the phone bank and getting good responses from the people I call. And at least now we'll be better prepared for future races, like the Senate run-offs. (I don't think Vitter will get his 51% in the primaries. Or the runoffs, for that matter.)
