Visibility in Lafayette Louisiana on Sunday 10-24
Edited on Sat Oct-23-04 06:08 PM by benito
Join us at Cajun Field, by the fence at 3:00 on Sunday. New Iberia, Abbeville and everyone else should come on over.

Edit - Sunday is the 24th

2. Can you post the link here?
thanks!

Was nice to meet you...see ya next Sunday! For others: this guy is way cool...he had on a Cheney mask, scared little children and made grown-ups cross themselves. When a big bunch of cars was around, he would fall down, clutching his heart....those wacky democrats!

3. Very few pics from Sunday in Lafayette, LA
http://vermilionsoccer.com/kerry/

There were a LOT more people at our first 2 stops. This was at the 3rd stop at the end of the day. It is on the corner of the busiest intersection in the parish (county for everyone in the other 49 states) Johnston street/Ambassador Caffery.
HIGHLY visible area, but more freepers mindlessly chanting '4 more years' that you can shake a Kerry sign at.

Yes, I was wearing my Cheney mask, but the kids I did manage to see were laughing at me clutching my chest, pounding my fist on the concrete in pain. I guess someone feigning death is funny to these tykes.

We got nothing but love from just about every minority and police officer that passed by, even though there were no minorities or police officers among us. Angry, ugly people with their windows rolled up tight were giving us the thumbs down vehemently. They looked like they were pleasuring themselves in a way that I've never attempted.

I've *NEVER* seen a group of people standing on a corner holding signs supporting George W. Bush. But if I did, I would not scream at them as I flip them off and punch the gas.

I would politely ask them if they've found those weapons yet.

4. It was great to meet you guys
I thought our second stop was quite uplifting in terms of just how much more positive feedback we got as opposed to Shrubbites, almost everyone who passed by, either hooted and waved (in a good way!) or just gave a thumbs up.
I have two pictures from that second stop if anyone wants them, I just have to figure out how to get them off my phone....

Oh and one little bone to pick, I can't go thru the corner of Ambassador and Johnston without the visual image of you clutching your chest, and I crease up every time!
