Nomah is no more
I have a feeling the Sox are going to regret this. Attitude or no, Nomah is a hell of a player, and any improvements they make on defense will be counteracted by losing a very good bat, and possibly another one with Millar, who now has nowhere to go.

Any thoughts?

1. wort. trade. ever.
Is this a recipe for success?

1.) Give up HOF player and the top OF hitting prospect in the organization

2.) Receieve two players hitting below .250 who COMBINED have hit 8 home runs.

improved defense? certainly
put massive hole in offense (particularly with Nixon out) absolutely.

Is this team in a better position to win a World Series? Yes.
Is this team in a better position to make it to a World Series? Hell no.

I hate this trade. If they had gotten Clement out of the deal it might have been tolerable. As is this trade flat out sucks. And I'm a nomar critic on any given day. (can you please for the love of bob take a f$%&ing pitch!!!!!!!!)

2. Theo is an ass.
They dangled him and Manny in the pre-season for A-Rod and ended up with a pissed off superstar.
They had no choice but to jettison him for something because he was gone the end of this year. Of course, Nomar turned down 15 million each year for the next 4 years!!! He's obviously hard to please.
What a waste.

3. holy CRAPOLA !!! no more . . .
Nomar . . . how crazy is this? How stupid can it get? First they get Nomar pissed off w/ a trade that went nowhere (but at least it was for great players) . . . now, Nomar gets traded for crap players!

WAY TO GO BOSOX! Shall we reinstate that tired adage "just wait until NEXT year!" b.s. to that!

One truly pissed off fan here . . .

4. He was not going to sign here.
They made the right move. He was a locker room cancer. The players didn't think he was the leader the media made him out to be. I think they could have made a deal that would benefit the SOX more. Chi town will see...he wont sign there either. LA or Anaheim is the best bet
