"Tea Party" in Troy yesterday?
Clickondetroit is claiming there were thousands of people at the astro-turf "tea party" in Troy yesterday. I never even heard about it. Did anyone go? Anyone take pictures or video of the nutters in the wild?

1. Bruce was there and said we had about 75 people and they had
over 500. He yelled at everyone at the OCDP meeting last night about how we need to get out to these things and not let them beat us at it. Well, I'd love to go, but some of us have jobs and have to work during the day. I can't leave work everytime there's a rally. I do what I can.

I saw on the news last night that it was still going on after dark and they wound up with thousands.

2. Don't these people have jobs?
I know what you mean.
I have been working a lot lately too or I would have gone. Bruce is right we are getting beat in the media.
Most of these people are frightened and angry (because they believe outright lies), which makes them easier to motivate. Hope isn't an as easy an emotion to turn into action as anger or fright.

3. Sharon, I realize people work
but when we have 75 people and they have thousands, we have to find a way to get more people involved. I'm assuming Republicans work too, although, to be fair, theirs was after working hours.

However, on the good side, the story the next day in the Oakland Press, was about 80% about our rally, a picture of one of our people, because we beat the deadline for the paper and the reporter getting their story filed.
